Who we are
PinTheDate ("we", "us") provides a calendar distribution platform that lets brands publish event calendars their audiences can sync. This policy explains what personal data we process and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Two kinds of users
Brand operators are our direct customers — the people who run an account to publish calendars. Subscribers are members of the public who sync a brand's calendar. We act as the data controller for operator account data, and as a data processor for subscriber data on behalf of each brand.
What we collect
From operators: name, email, organisation details and authentication data needed to run the account.
From subscribers: the calendars you choose to sync, and — only where a brand has enabled it and you have given consent — your email address and name. We log calendar-feed fetches and CTA clicks for analytics. We never store raw IP addresses; any IP used for coarse location is one-way hashed before storage.
How we use it
To deliver the service: generate personal calendar feeds, keep them in sync, provide aggregate analytics to brands, and — with consent — let brands contact their subscribers. We do not sell personal data.
Legal bases
We rely on contract to provide the service to operators, consent for subscriber marketing data, and our legitimate interest in measuring and securing the service for hashed, aggregate analytics.
Sub-processors
We share data with the following processors, all under data-processing agreements:
- Hosting providerApplication and database hosting (EU region)
- StripePayment processing and billing
- ResendTransactional email delivery
- Cloudflare R2Image and asset storage
- PostHogProduct analytics
- PlausiblePrivacy-friendly website analytics
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Subscribers can manage subscriptions, download a full JSON export, and permanently delete all their data from their own self-service page — linked from every calendar feed and confirmation. Operators can contact us to exercise the same rights.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service. When a subscriber deletes their data, their identity and feed are removed; anonymised, aggregate analytics may be retained.
